Croton Animal Hospital has been an accredited animal hospital of American Animal Hospital Association since 1974. We recently had our triennial evaluation and because of the great effort put forth by our team in preparation for that event, we passed with flying colors and in so doing, surpass forty continuous years as an AAHA accredited hospital.

Unlike human hospitals, not all animal hospitals are required to be accredited.

Accredited hospitals are the only hospitals that choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 quality standards that go above and beyond basic state regulations, ranging from patient care and pain management to staff training and advanced diagnostic services. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. AAHA standards are continuously reviewed and updated to keep accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence.

Pet owners look for AAHA-accredited hospitals because they value their pet’s health and trust the consistent, expert care provided by the entire health care team. At AAHA-accredited practices, pet owners can expect to receive the highest quality care from well-trained, veterinary professionals.

Only the top small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have achieved accreditation by the Association. As the standards to maintain accreditation are constantly evolving, preparation for our triennial evaluation involves incorporating new equipment into our practice, investment in staff continuing education and ongoing maintenance of our hospital. These efforts occur day in and day out and translate into more effective care for your companion.

At this time of year we wish to thank you for the trust you’ve shown by granting us the privilege to provide your pet’s veterinary care. We at Croton Animal Hospital wish all our clients and patients a very Happy and Healthy Holiday Season!
